Number Two Hundred Thirty Six:
Luray, Part 3
Home, Dinner, Fajitas
The final day of our trip sent us back to Shenandoah National Park and Skyline Drive, which is always worth the money, but we really lucked out today, being that it was the Fourth of July and Free! YAY America! The Civilian Conservation Corps built this place. The C.C.C. is something I am a BIG fan of and should be re instituted to give people jobs, as well as teach them skills as well as better our country. Anyway, I digress...
Hawksbill Mountain peak.
We hiked up to the highest point in the Park, Hawksbill Mountain. It is a fairly easy hike with a superb 360 degree view of the area; breathtaking. We spent a good half hour up there before heading back down for more Skyline Driving, and ending up at Horton Vineyards for some tasting and bottles of wine. All through this I totally forgot to take a napstache! So we'll have to settle for my goofy fajita stache!
