Number Two Hundred and Sixty Two:

Erin, Lunch, Rice Salad, Beef & Broccoli Salad

Spent the day at Lisa's folks' place, a delightful little 19th century house called Erin. We were expecting a larger group of people but Lisa'a brother and his family couldn't make it due to stomach illness. That left Lisa and I with her folks, to birdwatch on the back porch with a nice cross breeze and enjoy a lot of salady food for lunch....and cake! A kind of belated celebration of Lisa's birthday. It was great to get out of town to chill in the country, despite all the assholery of those Tea Party signs on the way there. One remedy: don't even bother reading the illogical catchphrase, just flick the sign the bird as you drive by, very helpful!

Number Fifty-Two:



Erin, Lunch, Pork Tenderloin


Missing last week's family gathering in Erin, we got to celebrate New Years Day instead. Full house with Lisa's Aunt and Uncle, Brother, Sister-in-Law and their kids, L.'s folks and our crew. Gifts, a walk through the woods by the fellows, food from Java Jacks out of Tappahannock, then lots of being full. Ahh the holidays come nicely to a close with this get-together. I think L.'s Mom, N., likes the 'staching, so I am really going to make an effort to get her in a photostache soon! She had me cracking up when I was taking this one. Notice L. and her squirrel bomb attempt.

The Fifteenth...

Number fifteen:



Erin, Thanksgiving Dinner, you can guess a traditional Thanksgiving Dinner...

L. was SO not wanting me to do the Napstache at the Thanksgiving table, and I was ready not to. Until L.'s Mom more or less mentioned it, which is as good as suggesting it to me. And while it is not the best napstache, it DID create delightful cheer at the table with Aunt S. who immediately did a Napbeard, followed by Napbinnoculars.
