The Two Hundred and Forty Ninth...

Number Two Hundred and Forty Nine:
Home, Lunch, Tuna Fish sandwich

Loving the mild summer day with sandwiches on the patio! Lisa and I are having a debate on whether it is appropriate to put cheese on a tuna fish sandwich. She says no, it's weird. I say yes, look at a tuna melt, for example. It all comes to preference, I suppose (but I'm still right! ha!).

The One Hundred and Nineteenth...

Number One Hundred and Nineteen:

Home, Dinner, Tuna fish sandwich

After a heated argument with my kid over various teenage crap (Me: you never prepare for anything! Teen: who cares! Etc etc --ad nauseum), we both calmed down a little. I opened a can of tuna fish for tuna salad sandwiches, then I realized, as the cat meow incessantly upon the opening sound and fish smell, that Lisa had made some earlier that day and there was a leftover dish in the fridge! Ah, well, the kid and I polished off the one I made, being more civil to each other, kind of like boxers in their corners between rounds. Anyway, this sandwich was eaten hastily and not in the happiest of moods.

The One Hundred and Seventh...

Number One Hundred and Seven:

Dots Back Inn, Lunch, Tuna Melt

Noah Scalin is writing another book, a sort of follow up to the 365 Make Something Every Day and he wanted me to be in it! As a sidebar, which I am not sure what that will entail, but I am still honored! We met at Dots so he could do a picture for it, and he brought his pal Shelia Gray. We chatted a bit about projects and writing and stuff; good times! Noah had the black bean nachos, a deliciously generous plate with about half a pint of sour cream on it! Shelia and I ordered tuna melts, one of the best in town I'd wager. I blabbed a little too much I fear, blame it on the lack of sleep, but I think they enjoyed the company. I did! Anyway, we were all cracking each other up and Noah took some great pictures of me, then I did my 'stache here, Shelia was inspired as well and wanted to do one.

I had chatted earlier about opening up the blog for submissions as it continues, thinking it would be a great way to get people to join in. That will be coming soon, so get your napkins ready people!

The Sixty-Eighth...

Number Sixty-Eight:

Dots Back Inn, Lunch, Tuna melt

For the past few years, L. & I have been a part of the park pick up service on Martin Luther King Jr. Day. To give back to the parks by picking up litter that accumulates intentionally, accidentally or incidentally. This year it was at Joseph Bryan Park. We invited G. to participate and we think she had a good time as well. The three of us combed the banks of Jordan's Branch, getting a LOT of plastic bag product, beer cans and almost a complete clothing ensemble. Weird things: flip flop, shuttlecock, golf ball, tennis ball, pants, purse and a volleyball.

After working hard picking up litter for a few hours, one of the other rewards, besides the satisfaction of supporting the community, was a trip to Dots for lunch!

Servicestache!

The Twenty-Fifth...

Number Twenty-five:

Home, Lunch, Tuna fish sandwich

Getting stuff done around the house today, time for a quick bite, rather than the habitual Dots on a Sunday, then more chores.

The Sixth...

Number Six:

Home, Dinner, Soup & Tuna fish

Second day of L. being home sick, so more soup, more sandwich. This time at the table with H. who took this photo. I tried wrapping the napkin around the ear for some kind of fancy effect. Fail. But note the pink facial glow with matching flamingo in the china cabinet. Classy... and yes, same shirt as yesterday!
