The Two Hundred and Eightieth...

Number Two Hundred and Eighty:

Chick-fil-A, Lunch, Sandwich

Nice to get an office day, which means the routine fried chicken on a bun thing. I tried watching anime on Netflix, maybe find a new series for Lisa and I, but then I got caught up in doing actual work things. Such is the way when eating lunch at your desk! Blah!

The Two Hundred and Seventeenth...

Number Two Hundred and Seventeen:
Chick-fil-A, Office, Lunch

After a few pieces of crappy news while at work, I did manage to have a nice lunch with Matt at the old fried chicken on a bun palace. He got a milkshake with lunch, I got jealous. So I got a small one to have at the office. Gluttony sucks!

The One Hundred and Tenth...

Number One Hundred and Ten:

Chick-fil-A, Lunch, Office, Chicken Sandwich

Lunch was in the office today. Note the obnoxiously large printer that we really only use for basic printer, yet it MUST do a vast amount of tasks; the pile of books just behind that, some in need of repair, others for who knows what I forget the reason why they are there now; the empty book cart to prove we are actually working while Carolyn is off vacationing; and the Clifford poster created by one of our daycare classes to say thank you for being a Bookmobile. Yup, I'd wager that most Bookmobile offices have this look.

The Ninety-Seventh...

Number Ninety-Seven:

Office, Lunch, Chick-fil-A sandwich

I couldn't roll with the Bookmobile crew out to eat today, which was fine by me because they went to Olive Garden. I was waiting for my co-conspirator Beth Brown to come by the office to drop off some flyers for a book we are putting together. Richmond Macabre: Nightmares from the River City Horror Anthology. This is an idea I think we both had separately, then kind of got connected and talked about it, and are now kicking Anthology ass! I am very excited about this. We hope to not only get some seasoned, known authors, but also some new talent on the scene. Either way, it is going to be something that I feel will be a literary landmark for Richmond. It is kind of the next step after the Richmond Noir book that was released last year. Years from now, if someone wants scary local fiction to read, I hope they will turn to this book and be thrilled and chilled. So we are getting the word out and calling for submissions and flyers are another way to throw the net out, so to speak. Anyway, after Beth swung by and we chatted a bit, I went up to the fried chicken on a bun with pickles shack and picked up my usual; a sandwich on wheat bun with side salad instead of fries. Good stuff. And so is this flyer!

The Twenty-First...

Number Twenty-One:

Chick-fil-A, Lunch, Chicken Sandwich

Pressed for time at work, we thought this was the best bet for fast food. It was, but the Fil-A-ers seemed a bit confused and short-staffed. Still, it didn't stop them from saying their mandatory response: "It was my pleasure." Really? Did it bring you joy at 7.25 an hour to hear that lady bitch at you that you got her order wrong and she wanted NO pickles on every other sandwich and not every other sandwich WITH pickles? Maybe the phrase "It was my pleasure" is a cult mantra they must say or be taken out back and MADE into chick-fil-a-parts?

And spelling Chick-fil-A the way they spell it is freaking nuts, by the way. Good sandwich though. I mean fried chicken on a bun with pickles? Aw yeah! But, the whole spelling thing...just saying...
